Derbyan Parakeets, also known as Lord Derby’s Parakeets, are parrots that are native to parts of Southwestern China and Northern parts of India. These large beautiful birds were once bountiful, but are rapidly declining in numbers due to deforestation and trapping. The colorful bird pictured on this mousepad is a male. Males can be identified by their bright orange beaks, while the females have a black beak.
